The client, located in Canning Vale began in the early 1990’s in a sheet metal workshop, producing storage boxes and cabinets for a variety of industries. Today the business is a leading innovator in research, development and the manufacturing of mobile workspaces for 1-ton utes to 3-ton trucks.

This is an exciting opportunity for an apprentice seeking a comprehensive work and learning experience. The apprenticeship will commence around August 2019.

About the role
To prepare and carry out spray painting of canopies and accessories to suit a range of commercial vehicles and light trucks.
The key responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follows:
• Undertake a wide range of paint preparation including grit blasting, sanding and masking
• Paint canopies and accessories to match vehicle colours

This will be a highly sought after apprenticeship and successful candidates must possess the following minimum requirements:

Essential:
• Have a can-do attitude, be reliable, self-driven and motivated to succeed
• Able to get on with others and be a team-player
• Committed to a program of on the job learning and formal training
• An eye for detail
• Completed year 10
• Strong safety awareness
• Must be able to work extended hours on occasions if required
• Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or relevant right to work visa
• Drivers Licence Essential


Candidates must be available through-out the recruitment process which will include:
• Aptitude testing
• Two rounds of interviews
• Passing a pre-employment screening which includes drug and alcohol testing.
